AI image giant Midjourney just launched V1, its first AI video model, letting users turn still images into short 5-second videos via Discord. With a focus on creativity over commercials, the startup is going head-to-head with OpenAI’s Sora and Runway’s Gen-4 — and plans to expand into 3D and real-time simulations.
